PLANNING

How much does it cost?

$300 per hour.

How many hours will it take?

Our work is project-based. We tailor planning work to your questions and let you know the time needed to clarify answers and strategies.

Your financial questions and concerns may involve a wide range of interrelated factors: Time, Taxes, Investments, and Cash Flows are just some. At our get-acquainted meeting, we will work out the scope of planning you need to move forward confidently.  We don’t manage investments so there are no asset minimums or long-term engagement fees. We believe our pure hourly model best serves our clients' needs, and makes us unique in our industry.

We offer two approaches to planning:

Limited Scope Engagement: Not everyone needs to look out over their lifetimes to make good financial decisions today. Targeted planning sessions can explore a narrower range of upcoming financial decisions and prioritize a plan of action.  We focus on cash flow (money in, money out), savings ability, reviewing your investment portfolio, and understanding your tax situation. Typically, these engagements run in the 8-12 hour range, $2,400-$3,600.

The Deeper Dive: If the timing and tradeoffs of your options now and in the future need to be fully evaluated, a Deeper Dive project may be the best option.  The process is more detailed and allows you to consider goals, values and options in a more interactive experience. Questions such as “Will my plan for savings provide for my retirement, college for my children,  a second home, or a sabbatical?” are best answered by fully considering the financial trade-offs necessary to meet each goal. A more comprehensive plan, which can address multiple variables and options, typically  runs between 18-25 hours ($5,400-$7,500) depending on complexity.
